Was gibt es eigentlich in… Mazedonien?
Der mazedonische Bildhauer Zarko Baseski (*1957) schafft realistische Figuren aus Polyesterharz, Silikon, Fiberglas und Haaren.
Anhand eines Selbsporträts erklärt er seine Vorgehensweise wie folgt:
„It all begins from the state of an individual in a certain moment. The hardest thing to define and represent it with accuracy is the personal deepest self. That, itself made me to present a moment of psychological stress, uncertainty, anticipation, expectation…
In attempt to recognize that moment I made more than 100 photos of myself. As a face is the true expression of ones psychological state, so is the body. It elucidates the state more vividly.“
